Trevor Noah didn’t have a funny reaction Wednesday after the FBI established that a noose discovered in the racetrack garage of Black NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace was not meant as a racist assault on him. (See the online video beneath.)
Investigators claimed the noose experienced been there given that at minimum October ― in advance of Wallace was applying the stall at Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway ― and that it was employed to pull the garage door down.
The“Daily Show” host, who termed a noose “the N-term of ropes,” just spoke from the coronary heart about what transpired.
“I’m heading to be genuine with you: I’m just relieved,” Noah reported. “I’m relieved.”
“Because for a tale involving a noose, this is the finest end result,” he additional.
Noah then requested “Daily Show” correspondent and comedian Roy Wood Jr. for his acquire.
Wood wasn’t as sanguine and in contrast a noose to excrement.
“A noose is in no way good information,” Wooden said, introducing ”If you see a turd in your kitchen, you really don’t care why it was there or how prolonged or who place the turd there. … There’s a turd in your kitchen area, and you ain’t joyful about it, and you want that shit absent.”
Wood also requested, of all the knots they could have applied ― and he known as on his Boy Scout knowledge to identify quite a few ― why did they use a noose to close a garage doorway?
