Magic’s Mo Bamba leaves bubble for post-coronavirus evaluation, to miss playoffs

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Mo Bamba will not play for the Orlando Magic in this season’s playoffs just after leaving the bubble for screening related to his previous bout with coronavirus, the crew announced Friday.

Bamba was diagnosed with COVID-19 on June 11. The 22-year-outdated appeared in 62 game titles with the Magic this period but logged only 11 minutes of action in Orlando’s initial two seeding games at Walt Disney Environment Resort.

He did not show up in any of Orlando’s final six seeding online games.

“On the advice of the Magic’s human performance staff members and crew physicians, Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba has remaining the NBA campus for a comprehensive article-coronavirus evaluation,” the staff claimed in a release Friday.

The 7-footer averaged 5.4 factors and 4.9 rebounds for the Magic this period. He was the No. 6 decide on in the 2018 draft.

Orlando is actively playing Milwaukee in the 1st round of the NBA playoffs.
