Swiss Town Coated In Cocoa Powder After Factory Glitch

BERLIN (AP) — People of a Swiss town acquired a bit of a shock when it started off snowing particles of a wonderful cocoa powder following the ventilation process at a chocolate manufacturing unit malfunctioned.

The Lindt & Spruengli enterprise verified area experiences Tuesday that there was a slight defect in the cooling air flow for a line for roasted “cocoa nibs” in its factory in Olten, between Zurich and Basel.

The nibs, fragments of crushed cocoa beans, are the foundation of chocolate.

Combined with strong winds on Friday morning, the powder spread around the instant vicinity of the manufacturing facility, leaving a great cocoa dusting.

The company claims 1 car or truck was flippantly coated, and that it has made available to pay out for any cleaning necessary — but hasn’t nonetheless been taken up on the offer.

Manufacturing unit output was ready to proceed as normal and the corporation states the particles were being entirely harmless to people or the ecosystem.

The ventilation system has now been repaired.
