CHICAGO (AP) — Umpires unexpectedly cleared the discipline throughout a video game among the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night when a little drone flew into Wrigley Subject over the bleachers and landed on the grass in deep left heart.
As Willson Contreras arrived to bat with two outs in the bottom of the fifth and the video game tied at 2, the product was spotted above the remaining-centre stands. In advance of the drone landed, umpires rushed gamers into the dugouts.
The blinking drone took off, hovered at about 100 feet, then pulled absent and vanished past the classic heart-area scoreboard.
Pursuing a 7-minute delay, Contreras resumed his at-bat and grounded out to end the inning.
