Meghan McCain Slams Trump After He Rails Against The Late John McCain Again

Meghan McCain pushed again on President Donald Trump just after he went after her father, the late Sen. John McCain, in a bizarre tweet on Thursday evening.

In the tweet, Trump shared a Breitbart report titled “New Peter Strzok Texts Undermine Official Narrative on Commence of ‘Russia Collusion’ Investigation.”

The president included this editorializing remark: “Check out previous in his course John McCain, 1 of the most overrated men and women in D.C.”

Meghan McCain fired back again at Trump, a longtime critic of her father who has continued to lambast him a lot more than two yrs just after his loss of life:

McCain’s tweet will make reference to her father’s military services provider, as a Navy aviator in the course of the Vietnam War, and Trump’s repeated belittling of that services. She also mocked Trump for dropping to President-elect Joe Biden in Arizona, a state Trump experienced received in 2016 and the condition her father represented in the House and Senate for about 35 decades.

Trump’s tweet also prompted a nearby Arizona news outlet to publish an op-ed titled, “John McCain once once more drops by his condominium inside Donald Trump’s head.”

The president has created mention of McCain several instances since the senator died of cancer in 2018. Elements of their contentious partnership were being a short while ago unpacked in a new guide from Mark Salter, McCain’s longtime confidant and aide, titled “The Luckiest Male: Lifetime With John McCain.”

In the ebook, Salter describes that Trump was fixated on McCain’s withdrawal of his endorsement of Trump in 2016 immediately after the release of the 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape, in which the upcoming president bragged about sexually assaulting girls. Salter writes that McCain described a submit-inauguration simply call in which Trump “kept repeating it — three, probably 4 situations, like he wished me to apologize right before we talked about some thing else.”
