Vanessa Bryant issued a statement Thursday stating her mom was hoping to “extort a financial windfall,” the Los Angeles Times reported.
The 48-web page lawsuit submitted by Sofia Urbieta Laine, 68, claims Kobe Bryant “promised to get care” of her for daily life.
“Unfortunately, Kobe Bryant’s assure did not see the gentle of day as he is now deceased and Vanessa Bryant took each and each and every action she could to void and terminate all of Kobe’s promises,” the lawsuit promises, asserting that Vanessa Bryant by no means intended to honor all those wishes.
